Isla Born

My name is Chris Regner, founder and designer of Isla Born.

I was born and raised in the Philippines and moved to Southern California when I was 15. Growing up between two cultures shaped the way I see the world. I learned to carry the traditions, values, and memories of the islands while finding my place in a new home.

Isla Born grew from that experience.

Through streetwear, I want to create something that feels modern while remaining deeply connected to where we come from. Every line, pattern, and symbol is chosen with intention. Each design carries a piece of our history, our strength, and the stories passed down through generations.

This journey is also deeply personal. My wife, Melanie, and our two amazing children, Keanu and Kairi, inspire me every day to keep building, keep creating, and stay true to my roots. They remind me that the dreams we pursue can become part of the legacy we leave behind.

Isla Born was never created simply to sell clothing. It was created to represent culture, pride, identity, and belonging. It is for those who were born in the islands, raised away from them, connected through family, or simply inspired by their beauty and spirit.

My hope is that every piece feels like more than something you wear. I want it to feel like a connection—to home, to family, to heritage, and to the journey that made you who you are.
